Let’s attack Losail Circuit

The first two free practice sessions ended today in the magnificent Losail Circuit, which saw the Angeluss MTA Racing drivers, Ivan Ortola and Stefano Nepa, take to the track to gain as much confidence as possible and brush up on those little details that will make the difference in qualifying. of tomorrow.

Ivan Ortola, during the first session, in which only hard tires were used so as to save the soft for tomorrow’s time attack, he managed to close with a 2’08.6, then lowered by two seconds at the end of the second session, thanks to the experience gained in the morning and a great feeling with the bike.

“Today I tried to study the track as much as possible, turning a lot and really making the most of every second of every lap. I found myself very well also with hard tires; in fact, in the last five minutes I made good laps, but there was still a trail and some more references. Tomorrow morning there are other opportunities and I will make the most of them. I know we can do well.”

Stefano Nepa , only a few thousandths away from his teammate, feels the KTM more and more his own and improves with every lap, almost managing to enter the Top 10 with a time of 2’07.5. A few more details to fix, but there is already a strategy ready to refine the last details, so as to get to qualifying and immediately aim for the leading group.

“It was very nice to be back on this track, I immediately had good sensations even in comparison with the Portimao tests. I immediately concentrated on finding the right references, without looking for trails so as to realize what there was still to improve and I am satisfied with the first session. As for the second, however, we decided to do a long run, but with the soft tire it is not the right compound. Tomorrow I will improve again to remove those tenths that will allow me to get closer to the leading group. “

So, see you tomorrow afternoon, to discover the stories of these two fierce fighters during the qualifying of the first GP of this season!
