Iván Ortolá and the Team MTA

Together with the start of the 2021 season

The Team MTA strengthens its sports project inherent to the 2021 season with the contribution to the team of Iván Ortolá. The sixteen-year-old Valencian Rider, class of 2004, will join the team for his debut in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship riding a competitive KTM, alongside the already announced Noah Dettwiler and Josh Whatley in the line-up of MTA riders. With the contribution of Iván Ortolá, the Team MTA reaffirms itself in the elite of the FIM CEV Repsol, maintaining its philosophy of supporting and enhancing the young champions of tomorrow.

Iván Ortolá: “I am very happy to be able to compete next year in the Junior Moto3 World Championship with the Team MTA. I really want to try the Moto3, but I will have to wait a few more months. I have to be patient and keep training to get ready for the start of the season. I want to thank Jorge Martínez “Aspar” for all his support in my career, as well as Alessandro Tonucci and his team. We are convinced that together we will achieve great results.

Alessandro Tonucci Team Manager: “Ortolá’s graft further enhances our team ahead of next season. Iván is a talented rider, fast and with the right spirit to make his way in this sport. Over the years he has become the protagonist of a progressive climb to the top, well appearing in high-profile championships such as the European Talent Cup and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. With us he can continue the growth path he has undertaken with Aspar in past seasons, approaching the World Junior Moto3 in the best way with a competitive KTM and a first-rate technical staff. The agreement with Iván fully reflects our philosophy of focusing on the young talents and potential champions of tomorrow, so we look forward to starting the preparations for 2021 with a detailed program of activities aimed at enhancing his talent and showing off his full potential.
