Portimão Test • Day 1

Portimão, February 19, 2022: after careful evaluations and cold-minded analysis during the days of rest that have separated the tests of Jerez from those of Portimão, Iván Ortolá and Stefano Nepa can find the right feeling on track.

The modest and superstitious words of Alessandro Tonucci, MTA Racing team manager, seem to announce a lightening on the horizon of this dark sky that has flown over the previous tests: “Today I’m happy, I don’t want to say it loud, but we solved the problems of the past weeks and the drivers had a good feeling in general. Despite the great wind that has lifted the times of all, Ortolá was there today. Even Nepa has found the right feeling, although he did not manage to make a good time, due to an accident that escaped just in the last minutes of the last session. Tomorrow we continue to work.”

So much calm, cold blood and head down towards a further improvement in the coming days.
